We have recently been successful in an application for a grant and will be receiving £8000 towards a solution to strengthen the balcony and safely allow visitors back out there to witness the view unobstructed. With our help they will be able to remember what it must have looked and felt like when the Tower was operational.
In previous years when safety wasn’t such a concern, young children would fly paper planes from the balcony to the lawn below. It would make our mission to encourage a new generation to enjoy the tower if we could restart this activity which gives pleasure to the children and their parents.
We are passionate that age or disability will not be a barrier to visiting the museum and learning the history we provide here.
